Nuovi record per Andrea Bocelli. Con il suo nuovo album “Sì” il cantante toscano ha conquistato la vetta della prestigiosa classifica americana.
Bocelli è alla numero 1 della Billboard 200 e anche al vertice della Billboard Artist 100, una sorta di classifica della popolarità dell’artista ideata nel 2014 e stilata considerando vari dati (oltre alle vendite anche passaggi radio, streaming, interazioni social ecc.
. ‘Sì’ IS OFFICIALLY #1 RECORD THIS WEEK IN USA! There are places that feel almost like home to me now and that welcome me with open arms as soon as I arrive, like a big family. They are the countries where I concentrate most of my energy and artistic resources. The United States is undoubtedly one of these. The United States is that great country where my father dreamed of seeing me sing. And how right he was, if you consider the love and respect I have received from its great people over the years! When I woke up this morning, I received the news that ‘Sì’ had taken the first place in the US charts. Never before has one of my albums charted so high. With a heart full of gratitude, my thoughts go to everyone who has chosen to say ‘Sì’ to my latest efforts. I would like to thank everyone, one by one, and please allow me to do so, even if only symbolically. I would also like to thank you all on the behalf of my little, yet great Matteo who was moved on the stage in Cincinnati by the extremely warm welcome he received. I would like to say thank you on behalf of everyone who worked hard to bring this project to fruition and also on the behalf of those who have been with me over all the years, until reaching this point. For instance, I am thinking about my friends who are like family, such as David Foster, Humberto Gatica and Tony Renis, and about the many artists and people who work in the industry who have championed me over the years and believed in my work, such as Bob Ezrin, and the Sugar Music company, which has been supporting my work for 25 years. Andrea Bocelli è il primo artista proveniente dal mondo della musica classica ad aggiudicarsi la n.1 della Billboard Artist 100.
“Sì” è il sedicesimo album di Andrea Bocelli e arriva a 14 anni di distanza dall’ultimo disco di inediti pop , “Andrea”, del 2004. Contiene anche duetti con Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran e con il figlio Matteo.
Proprio il brano cantato insieme al figlio, “Fall on me”, è stato scelto per la colonna sonora de “Lo Schiaccianoci e i Quattro Regni”.
