Taliban government speaks to BBC in rare interview | BBC News

It’s been almost five years since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan. In that time, it has stopped girls over 12 going to school and significantly restricted women’s rights in public.

The country is also facing record levels of hunger, and conflict with Pakistan has escalated.

The BBC’s Yogita Limaye asked a spokesman for the ruling Taliban regime about these issues in a rare sit-down interview.
