After travelling a record-breaking 252,756 miles (406,771km) from Earth and circling past the moon, the Artemis II astronauts are on their way home.
The crew also made history to become the first astronauts to witness a solar eclipse from a spacecraft.
Commander Reid Wiseman says the Orion spacecraft crew "saw sights that no human has ever seen", while pilot Victor Glover said there are "no adjectives" to describe what they observed.
US President Donald Trump told the astronauts that they have "made history and made all of America really proud" and invited them to the White House.
