Belarus begins joint drills with Russia – BBC News

Belarus has begun carrying out joint air force drills with Russia.

The exercises will last two weeks – and come following concerns that Moscow may be pressuring Minsk to join the war in Ukraine.

The Belarusian defence ministry has said it is preparing for possible combat missions.

It comes after 35 people have been confirmed dead in Dnipro, Ukraine, following a Russian missile strike on a residential apartment block.
