Boeing results due as safety scrutiny intensifies | BBC News

Boeing is due to publish its results for the past year on Wednesday as scrutiny over its safety intensifies.

Boeing’s boss David Calhoun, who previously acknowledged the company’s shortcomings, faces deep questions about the future.

It comes more than three weeks after the door plug on a 737 MAX 9 fell out, forcing an emergency landing.

No passengers were injured in the incident on 5 January but it triggered scrutiny into the safety and reputation of Boeing.
