Can the UK’s Conservative Party come back from latest defection to Reform UK? | BBC News

Danny Kruger, a Conservative MP and shadow minister, has defected to Reform UK.

Speaking at a press conference alongside Reform party leader Nigel Farage, Kruger said “the Conservatives are over” and confirmed he would not be triggering a by-election.

In response, Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch said she was “not going to get blown off course”.

Adam and Chris discuss this, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s comments today that he would “never” have appointed former ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson had he known the full details of his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Plus, Adam is joined by Panorama presenter Jane Corbin ahead of US President Donald Trump’s state visit. They discuss the history of the special relationship, and whether Starmer has benefitted from his connection to Trump during his time in office.
