A maternity and children’s hospital in the city of Mariupol has been hit by a Russian air strike, according to the Ukrainian authorities.
Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky said children were trapped under the wreckage. The local authorities said at least 17 people had been injured including staff and patients including women in labour.
Ukraine said the attack had taken place during an agreed ceasefire.
