Cyclone Mocha: Inside the refugee camp that was nearly blown apart – BBC News

In Bangladesh thousands of refugees have seen their homes destroyed or damaged by Cyclone Mocha.

The weather system hit land on Sunday, narrowly avoiding a direct hit on the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, in the south-west of the country.

Rohingya refugees were forced to see out the storm in their flimsy shelters.

Aid agencies said a nightmare situation was averted.

Earlier this month, the BBC was given special access to the camp.
