Speaking from inside Afghanistan, a day on from the Kabul airport attack, the International Committee of the Red Cross’ Alberto Cairo says “people are tense, there are very few women in the street”.
The physiotherapist, who has chosen to stay in the country says “we are supposed to work in places at war, and Afghanistan is definitely a place at war”.
He speaks to BBC News about the latest situation in Afghanistan.
