15 US states spanning from the east to the west coast are voting, plus one territory, American Samoa.
Donald Trump is the front-runner to win the Republican nomination, having beaten his rival Nikki Haley in all state contests – though Haley won in Washington DC.
But Haley has so far refused to give up, saying she will stick around until at least until Super Tuesday has concluded.
President Biden is all but uncontested for the Democratic nomination – though last week he faced a protest vote in Michigan due to the war in Gaza.
The BBC’s Katty Kay joined The Context to discuss what’s at stake this Super Tuesday.
