On Air Force One on his way back to the US, President Donald Trump said his meetings with Xi Jinping went "very well" and that the Chinese president wanted to see the Strait of Hormuz opened.

Meanwhile, Israel and Lebanon have agreed a 45-day extension to a shaky ceasefire, following two days of negotiations in Washington.
