Dustborn: ‘We’re just at the start of letting games expand boundaries’ | BBC News


A videogame set in a divided America starring a cast of diverse characters was always likely to ruffle feathers.

Dustborn is a comic-book inspired videogame that takes place in a dystopian USA run by an authoritarian force known as Justice.

Characters are at the heart of the game, and its main cast has drawn a fair amount of attention.

But both star Dominique Tipper and Red Thread Games’s creative developer Ragnar Tørnquist told BBC Newsbeat it’s time for games to better represent those starring in, playing and creating the games we play.
