Most of the European countries that suspended the use of the Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine have said they will start using it again after the EU’s medical regulator declared it “safe and effective”.
Italy, Germany, France and Spain are among those resuming use of the jab after a pause over fears of a link to blood clots in a small number of people.
The UK’s regulator said any link between the jab and clots is unproven and the benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine outweigh any risks.
