Leaders from across Europe are set to meet for a summit on the war in Ukraine, hosted by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Top of the agenda for the summit will be increasing Europe’s defence capabilities as the US steps back, as well as seeking security guarantees for Ukraine from the White House as part of any peace deal.
Keir Starmer is meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni ahead of the meeting, where they will be joined by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and key figures from across Europe.
