Exposing Kenya’s child sex trade | BBC News

Warning: Contains disturbing content including descriptions of child abuse.

Maai Mahiu in Kenya is known as a breeding ground for child sexual abuse.

In clubs around the area, ‘madams’ help in the trade of young women.

In Kenya, the most recent statistics come from a US State Department Country Report in 2012, which estimated that 30,000 children are exploited in the sex industry every day.

BBC Africa Eye went undercover with two experienced investigators for months with the aim of infiltrating and exposing the sex trade in Kenya.
