The first convoy of aid is reportedly making its way to Syria in the wake of two deadly earthquakes.
Hundreds of buildings have been destroyed in northern Syria, and at least 1,700 people have been killed.
However, sending help to the rebel-held parts of the country has proven to be difficult.
The aid routes that used to exist into Syria – which is almost 12 years into a civil war – have been gradually closed over the years.
The UN has said access through this crossing will be a "lifeline" for millions in need of humanitarian assistance.
