Hundreds of millions of people around the world using some of the most popular social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – have been forced offline, in a major global blackout.
It’s one of the longest outages, lasted several hours, leading to a sharp drop in Facebook’s share price. It’s not yet known what has caused the problems.
