US President Joe Biden has said Hamas’ attack on Israel is like “15 9/11s” for the country.
In an address in Tel Aviv, Biden promised to ask the US Congress for an "unprecedented" defence package of Israel.
The US president is currently on a visit to the region, where he has expressed his solidarity with leaders.
While Biden backed Israel’s strong denial of involvement in the blast at Al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital in Gaza, several Arab countries have joined Hamas in blaming Israel for the explosion.
