More than 132,000 households were living in temporary accommodation on 30 June 2025, up 7.6% from the same time last year. That includes more than 172,000 children.
Mum of three, Danielle, from west London, has moved four times in a year after she was forced out of her flat when the landlord sold up.
UK Homelessness Minister, Alison McGovern said: "Today’s statistics are a harsh reminder that too many have been let down by the system meant to protect them.”
