How a cafe in India is helping acid attack survivors – BBC News


Acid attacks on women in India are not uncommon, with victims usually targeted for alleged marital or relationship issues.

But one cafe near the country’s capital of Deli is helping to empower those who have been attacked by giving them jobs and the courage to embrace their looks.

More than 70 survivors now work at the cafe, which also helps with medical access and legal aid for its staff.
