How are Iran’s civilians responding to Israeli strikes | BBC News

As Iran and Israel carry out strikes on each other, civilians in Iran are being urged to seek shelter, with the Iranian government using mosques, metro stations, schools and other buildings.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on all Iranians to "stand together, persevere, and confront the criminal aggression to which Iran is subjected".

But people in Iran have told the BBC they feel their voices are not being heard.

Iran’s health ministry reports that at least 224 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since Friday.

The number killed in Israel since Friday has risen to 24.
