How can digital versions of big companies cut their carbon footprint? – BBC News


Many companies responsible for our day-to-day essentials are committed to reducing their carbon footprints.

The company behind brands such as Dettol, Reckitt, is using new technology known as ‘digital twins’ to help reduce its climate impacting emissions.

The software mimics everything from shipping lanes to factory production ahead of deliveries worldwide to help show the carbon impact they will have, before a product even leaves for the store.
