US President Donald Trump has once again threatened to attack Iran’s infrastructure and energy, prompting fears that water supplies in the Gulf could be hit as retaliation.

As countries in the region are hit by Iranian missiles and drones, the mirage of safety and stability that countries in the Gulf have carefully cultivated over decades is fading.

Areas like Dubai and Doha are home to millions of expats and visitors on holiday. But could the dream be over?
