How TikTok profits from Syrian children begging – BBC News

TikTok takes almost 70% of donations to Syrian families begging on livestreams on its app, BBC News has found.

Children from hundreds of displaced families in Syria are among those pleading for hours on TikTok for people around the world to give them digital gifts, which have cash value.
