How walls of moss could help reduce urban air pollution – BBC News


Air pollution poses a major threat to both our health and the health of the climate, killing an estimated 7 million people a year, according to the World Health Organization.

But a company in Germany is developing mats made of moss which can absorb pollution particles, allowing cleaner air to be released.

Green City Solutions combine moss’s natural filtering properties with technology that monitors environmental conditions, like moisture, humidity and temperature.
