Hundreds of people queued up in Houston, Texas, to turn their guns over to the police on a recent Saturday.
More than 800 guns were collected in the effort by local law enforcement to make the city safer.
However, many who gave up their firearms have many more at home.
The hundreds collected were also just a drop in the bucket, with more guns than people in the United States.
