The risk of a volcanic eruption in Iceland remains high, with 3,000 residents of nearby town Grindavik forced to evacuate.
There have been reports of ground shaking, roads cracking and buildings suffering structural damage as volcanic activity continues.
More than 500 quakes hit the south-western Reykjanes Peninsula on Monday.
A volcanic eruption is still expected, scientists say, despite the quakes being weaker in recent days.
