India’s economy grew by 8.4% in the final three months of 2023, its fastest pace in one-and-half years.
This was in comparison with the 7.6% growth in the previous quarter, government data showed on Thursday.
The growth, which was led by strong manufacturing and construction activity, bolstered Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s economic record just months before a national election.
