iPhone maker Foxconn switch to cars as US-China tensions rise – BBC News


A new era of icy relations between Washington and Beijing has seen Apple’s biggest manufacturer switch focus to supplying the electric car industry.

Foxconn is responsible for 60 percent of Apple’s products, including the iPhone, but has found itself caught in the middle of growing political strain between the US and China.

In an exclusive interview, chairman and boss Young Liu told the BBC what the future may hold for the firm.
