Anti government protests have continued in Iran following the death of Mahsa Amini who was arrested after allegedly breaking the country’s strict dress code.
Mahsa Amini’s father, Amjad, spoke to the BBC about the memories of his daughter and said the Iranian authorities are not telling the truth about how Mahsa died.
One of the most influential people to have helped spark the movement is exiled journalist Masih Alinejad who fled Iran in 2009.
She called on thousands of women in Iran to record themselves defying the hijab rule and posted the videos to her millions of followers.
Her activism has made her a target, she is living in an FBI safe house in New York and has received death threats on US soil.
