Iran threatens to ‘rain fire’ on American forces | BBC News

Tehran has responded to reports the US is planning to put troops on the ground in Iran with defiance.

Iran’s parliamentary speaker has accused Washington of secretly plotting a ground invasion. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iranian forces are ready to “rain fire” upon them.

Attacks on major infrastructure in the region continue on both sides, with universities among the latest targets.

Meanwhile the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he’s ordered the Israeli army to expand a buffer zone it has created in southern Lebanon.
