Iran’s new supreme leader has vowed to keep blocking the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping channel, in a statement read by a presenter on state TV.
Mojtaba Khamenei also said Iran will "avenge the blood of Iranians" who have been killed.
It is the first we have heard from the new leader, after he was selected to succeed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
