The Bank of England has cut interest rates to the lowest level since early 2023.

And, tension is still building between the US and Venezuela. President Donald Trump has ordered "a total and complete" blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela – a move denounced by Caracas as "warmongering threats".
