"We don’t attack Putin or Moscow,” President Zelensky retorted yesterday to accusations by the Kremlin of "a planned terrorist attack and an assassination attempt on the President," overnight, in an alleged drone strike.

A Ukrainian presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak told the BBC that the incident indicated Russia could be preparing "a large-scale terrorist provocation in Ukraine”.
Newsnight’s Diplomatic Editor Mark Urban analyses the footage and the questions it raises.
