Since the beginning of March, Israel has blocked all shipments of humanitarian aid, including food and medical supplies, into Gaza.
The BBC’s international editor Jeremy Bowen spoke to Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of Unrwa – the UN agency that supports Palestinian refugees.
Lazzarini said that he was running out of words "to describe the misery and the tragedy affecting the people in Gaza. They have been now more than two months without any aid".
He added, "This is the weaponisation of humanitarian aid."
