Hezbollah’s deputy leader has said it’s ready for an Israeli ground offensive, as Israel continues air strikes across Lebanon.
In the first speech by a high-ranking official since Israel killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Naim Qassem said the battle "may be long".
At the same time, Israel’s defence minister Yoav Gallant told troops near the Lebanese border they are prepared to use forces "from the air, sea, and land".
More than 1,000 people have been killed in Lebanon in the past two weeks, officials there said, while up to a million people may now be displaced.
