Israel mourns October 7 victims as Trump’s peace plan talks continue | BBC News


In Israel memorial events have been taking place on the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks by Hamas. Some 1,200 people were killed that day and 251 were taken hostage.

In response Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza, where more than 67,000 people have been killed according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

Indirect talks have been continuing in Egypt between Israel and the Palestinians to try to agree US President Trump’s plans to end the war.
