Israel has released 200 Palestinian prisoners to the West Bank, as part of the ceasefire agreement signed earlier this month.
It comes hours after four female hostages – all Israeli soldiers taken on 7 October – were released by Hamas to Israel.
Of the released Palestinian prisoners, 70 of them – who had been convicted of the most serious offences, are expected to be deported via Egypt to neighbouring countries.
