The Israeli military has said the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group was responsible for the Al Ahli hospital explosion in Gaza.
Daniel Hagari, a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in an army briefing that a barrage of rockets were fired by Hamas to Israel at 18:15 local time on Tuesday – before the hospital blast.
Hagari said Hamas understood the strike was caused by a misfired Islamic Jihad rocket, but launched a "global media campaign" to blame Israel.
