Israel says it will open Gaza aid corridors after international pressure | BBC News

Israel has announced a "tactical pause in military activity" in parts of Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said "designated humanitarian corridors" are being set up for UN convoys to "refute the false claim on intentional starvation".

Israel has been facing mounting pressure from Western governments, with aid agencies warning that mass starvation is taking hold in Gaza.

At least 127 people have died from malnutrition since the war began, the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry said.
