Israel targets Lebanon bank linked to Hezbollah | BBC News

Israel targeted branches of Al-Qard Al-Hassan – a US-sanctioned financial association linked to Hezbollah – in a wave of strikes across Lebanon overnight.

It claims AQAH "directly funds Hezbollah’s terror activities, including the purchase of weapons and payments to operatives in Hezbollah’s military wing".

The Israeli military issued 24 evacuation warnings of air strikes in less than an hour, which caused widespread panic according to the UN’s envoy to Lebanon.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on X that Beirut is "in flames" after the Israeli attacks.
