Kamala Harris has addressed the nation for the first time since Donald Trump’s US election victory.
"We must accept the results of this election," Harris told the crowd at Howard University in Washington DC, adding that while the outcome is not what she wanted, "the light of America’s promise will always burn bright".
Earlier, Harris called Trump to concede the election.
