As Lake Turkana expands despite four failed rainy seasons, much of East Africa is experiencing a drought which has killed hundreds of thousands of animals and pushed millions of people to the brink of starvation.
The simultaneous flooding and drought in the region has been caused by greater fluctuations in weather systems, something scientists say is the result of man-made climate change.
Now, the expanding lakes are causing floods which are destroying homes and taking lives.
