King Charles and Prince William have greeted some of those queuing for hours to pay their respects to the Queen.

Hundreds of people lining the Thames cheered and applauded as the King and his son arrived. "Hope you didn’t get frozen last night," said King Charles to one of those waiting.

The Prince of Wales, who made a surprise appearance, spent time shaking hands with people in the crowd, and he remarked how warm some of them were.
