Life under Taliban rule one month on – BBC News


It’s been exactly one month since the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan.

Their victory has brought an end to decades of fighting but they face a mounting economic crisis and scepticism over their commitment to human rights.

Despite assurances from the group women will be allowed to work, most have been told to stay at home for now.

Our Afghanistan correspondent Secunder Kermani and cameraman Malik Mudassir sent this report from around the northern city of Mazar e Sharif.
