The four lions were born in captivity and had spent their lives performing in a French circus. After one of the lions attacked the owner they went to an animal welfare group.
Plans for the lions to be released into the sanctuary in South Africa were delayed by two years because of the global pandemic but they are finally free to roam their new home.
