US president Joe Biden has announced he is withdrawing from the race to be the next president, following pressure from Democrats.
The 81-year-old has endorsed Kamala Harris, the current vice-president, to be the new Democratic candidate.
It comes four months before Americans go to the polls, upending the race for the White House.
