LIVE: Multiple explosions heard in Venezuela’s capital Caracas | BBC News


Explosions have been heard as smoke rises in the Venezuelan capital Caracas.

Several of the surrounding communities are without power, following numerous reports of explosions in several places, including military installations

US President Donald Trump ordered strikes on sites inside Venezuela, including military facilities, US officials tell the BBC’s US partner CBS News.

The Venezuelan President has declared a national emergency, and has denounced the attacks as an attempt by the US to take his country’s oil and minerals.
