The US government has filed criminal charges against Cuban ex-leader Raúl Castro, who led the Communist-run island nation for 15 years.
Castro, 94, and his brother Fidel, overthrew the US-backed government there in 1959, leading to decades of tension between the two countries.
The indictment comes amid a build-up of US forces in the region, and as President Donald Trump threatens to seize control of the island.
