Liz Truss has delivered her first speech after being appointed as the UK’s new prime minister.
Speaking outside Number 10 Downing Street, Ms Truss said she was “honoured” to “take on this responsibility at a vital time for our country”.
The new PM said she would announce a plan to tackle spiralling energy costs later this week.
